Apple pie moonshine (sometimes just shortened to “apple pie”) is an alcoholic beverage that, when made correctly, tastes like a slice of apple pie in your mouth. It is great to have in autumn or winter, when people are craving these flavors. This recipe makes a LOT, because when I made it I gave a lot of the jars away as gifts. Just be prepared to scale this recipe down, make it in multiple batches, or have a large enough stock pot to make it all at once. You will also need a lot of storage room in your fridge, as it will take some time for the mixture to meld after it has been prepared.

Method
- Add the apple cider, apple juice, cinnamon sticks, and sugar to your stock pot.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- Remove the pot from the heat and allow the mixture to cool until it is room temperature.
- Using a slotted spoon, remove the cinnamon sticks from the mixture.
- Add the grain alcohol to the mixture.
- Pour or ladle the mixture into mason jars, seal the lid, and put in the fridge.
- Let the jarred moonshine meld for at least 1 week, shaking periodically (once per day is sufficient), before drinking.
