Method
- Preheat your oven to 350℉.
- Grease the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Use an electric mixer on medium speed or hand mix the ingredients vigorously for 2 minutes.
- Pour the batter evenly into the 9x13 baking dish.
- Bake for 24 to 29 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean).
- Set the pan on a wire rack and allow to cool for 30 to 45 minutes. Then frost or dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
To bake using other pans, adjust the baking time as follows:
- 8" Rounds (2), 24 to 29 minutes.
- 9" Rounds (2), 20 to 25 minutes.
- Bundt Cake, 34 to 39 minutes.
- Cupcakes (24), 14 to 19 minutes.
This cake is especially good with cream cheese frosting. Use homemade, or keep things simple and use a store-bought frosting.
